'Biggie' wins 32-mile road race

ANTHONY ‘Biggie’ Colebrooke won the New Providence Cycling Association’s 32-mile road race on Sunday in one hour, 28 minutes and 29 seconds.

Coming in second was Deangelo Sturrup in 1:28.30sec, Chris Curry was third in 1:28.33, Jay Major got fourth in 1:28.31 and James ‘Jamie’ Nottage rounded out the top five in 1:28.33. The other finishers in order were Roy Colebrook Jr, sixth in 1:30.01 and Rowshon Jones was seventh, Jave Russell in eighth and Justin Minns in ninth in 1:33.

Next up will be the Bertram Cowboy Musgrove/Tour De New Providence set for October 25-26 in a three-stage race with three levels/divisions.

Level I - 6 miles TT and 20 short circuit race on October 25 and the 50 mile road race on October 26.?

Level II - 6 miles TT and 20 short circuit race on October 25 and the 40 mile road race on October 26.?

Level III - 6 miles TT and 15 miles short circuit race on October 25 and the 25 mile road race on October 26.

Registration for this race is scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 18.
