Edison Sumner and Voices of Praise in concert Good Friday

GOOD Friday is always solemn and sobering. It is a time to be reflective, repentant and many are pensive.

But the day ends on a high note when Edison Sumner and the Voices of Praise minister during their Good Friday concert.

In the lead-up to this event, the group has been in intense rehearsals for the grand finale. Drumsets, brass sections, strings, percussionists, keyboards and vocalists have been fine tuning their skills and their instruments for the celebration of the life and the crucifixion of our Lord.

Group members said the practices have been are electrifying and filled with harmony and the drama of a fine production.

The concert will also feature guest performances from Nehemiah Hield, Adrian Edgecombe, Keith Jones and Kenyatta Gibson, four of the country’s most popular male gospel singers.

The show, which is free of charge, is expected to draw persons from all walks of life attending, not just church-goers.

The concert starts at 7.30pm at Calvary Deliverance Church.
