TO show their gratitude to the members of Team Bahamas for their impressive showing at the Silver Jubilee CARIFTA Games over the Easter holiday weekend in St Kitts and Nevis, the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) is scheduled to hold a pep rally on Thursday.

The event is slated to begin at 4pm with a motorcade through the streets of New Providence, returning to the stadium where the rally will begin. Prime Minister Perry Christie and Minister of Youth, Sorts and Culture Dr Daniel Johnson are expected to be on hand to participate in the rally.

The route for the parade is as follows:

Leave the stadium and turn on to Moss Road, then on to Thompson Boulevard to Poinciana Drive to Blue Hill Road. From there, they will head to Bay Street, onto Elizabeth Avenue to Shirley Street. The parade will continue on East Street to Wulff Road and back on Poinciana Drive to Thompson Boulevard, to Moss Road and back to the eastern parking lot of the stadium for the pep rally.

The members of the CARIFTA swim team that repeated as champions in Bermuda are also invited to participate.
