BAIN ELIMINATED

IN SEMI-FINAL

JACOBI Bain, the only Bahamian playing in the 2015 Eddie Herr International Championships in Florida, suffered a 6-3, 6-3 loss to Xaiofei Wang of China in the boys 12 semi-final.

Bain advanced to the semi-final with 6-2, 6-0 win over Maximo Sanchez of Argentina. Bain reached the round of 16 by defeating Tomas Moretto of Argentina 7-6(6), 7-5. Next up for Bain is the 2015 Junior Orange Bowl in Miami starting December 15.

SOFTBALL

BSC POSTSEASON

THE Baptist Sports Council will begin its best-of-three postseason on Tuesday night in the Banker’s Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.

In the co-ed game at 7pm, St Paul’s will play Macedonia. That will be followed by the men’s feature game between St Paul’s and Golden Gates.

On Thursday, Macedonia and St Paul’s will play game two of their co-ed game, while Macedonia and Charles W Saunders High play face off in the men’s feature contest.

VOLLEYBALL

NPVA ACTION

PLAY in the New Providence Volleyball Association continued Friday night at the DW Davis Gymnasium with two exciting matches.

In the ladies’ opener, the Lady Panthers came from behind to beat the Lady Techs 18-25/25-18/25-18/25-18.

And n the men’s feature contest, the Defenders also stormed back to knock off the Technicians 23-25/25-23/25-22/27-25.

The NPVA is slated to be back in action on Wednesday night .
