How is this Christian?

EDITOR, The Tribune.

In his 2012 DNA candidate’s profile, lawyer Wayne Munroe is described as a Lay Reader and Chalice Assistant at St Margaret’s Parish Church.

I was shocked, therefore, at the headline in today’s Tribune – “Munroe: Flog the immigrants”.

Surely this type of thinking is not compatible with Christianity?

“Violence begets violence.”

Athena Damianos who has no problems accusing and judging Sir Lynden has now become a saint. There are no saints on earth . King David in spite of his sins was called a man after God's own heart. So you can rest assured that lay readers and chalice assistance have not been written of by God. Because all of sinned and come short of the glory of God including you. this is all about the politics. No more, no less.

Wow Birdie! I never pegged you as a Christian.

A Christian supporting a corrupt Government. Seems like you are at odds with your belief system.

How many Christains killed Christians in Europe and enslaved 20 million Africans between 1500 and 1800???????

Christianity was probably the bloodiest religion on Earth back then.............. and now it is finding fault with what the Muslims are doing ............................... pot calling kettle black

The point is that many call themselves Christians or call themselves Muslims when in fact they are not.

The basis of both religions deal with kindness and taking care of your fellow man. The Old Testament has a considerable amount of violence in it and retribution, but not the New.

Taxes would not be needed if the churches had, over the centuries, spent the money on helping people instead of building lavish churches and cathedrals with gold leaf and fancy architecture.
