19-year-old man seriously wounded in Freeport shooting

POLICE in Grand Bahama are following "significant leads" as they investigate a shooting incident on Monday evening that has left a 19-year-old man serious injured in hospital.

Shortly after 7pm, police were called to the Raleigh Drive area of Freeport where they found the victim lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

He was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital by ambulance and attended to by a doctor who listed his injuries as serious. Police report they are following significant leads in this investigation.
