THE Nassau Cup is on the line as two Bahamas Rugby Football Union powerhouses square off this weekend in the second game of a double header to decide the top team in the capital this season.

Baillou RC is slated to square off once again against Cuckoos RC 3pm Saturday at the Winton Rugby Centre in the last weekend of the Nassau Cup.

Baillou is the only undefeated team in the league thus far at 3-0, followed by Cuckoos at 2-1 and Buccaneers RC at 0-3.

Baillou, the league’s top scoring team with a point differential of 28, also has a league high 13 points, 10 for Cuckoos and two points for the Buccaneers.

“Cuckoos trails Baillou by 3 points, even though Baillou have one more win than Cuckoos,” said Elystan Miles of the BRFU. “This means that a win for either side will claim the cup and in the unlikely event of a draw, Baillou will win it.”

In the only meeting between the teams this season, Baillou won decisively, 22-3. They also won 22-19 and 30-24 over the Buccaneers. Cuckoos have defeated the Bucs, 28-0 and 25-8.
