INVESTIGATIONS are still continuing into the disappearance of a Bahamian crewman at sea during bad weather off Great Isaac Cay on December 4, according to a senior police official in Grand Bahama.

Inspecter Terecita Pinder told The Tribune that the body of the missing crewman has not yet been located.

The Sea Farmer was on a fishing trip off Great Isaac Cay, near the Berry Islands, on December 4 when, shortly before 7am, the vessel encountered bad weather. She was fishing 20 miles north east of Bimini.

Around 1pm, two crew members - a Dominican and a Bahamian - were discovered missing. A short time later the body of the Dominican crewman was discovered but the Bahamian was not found.

The body of the Dominican was brought to Grand Bahama and taken to Rand Memorial Hospital.
