A CANADIAN resident, accused of working illegally in The Bahamas, was charged in the Freeport Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Bruno Rufa, a resident of the Coral Beach Condominiums, was arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson and accused of working without a work permit.
Rufa was arrested by immigration officials on January 30 at the Coral Beach Condominiums, where he was allegedly discovered working at a bar.
The case was adjourned to February 18. If found guilty, Rufa faces a fine of $3,000 or two years in prison or both.

You probably know something the judge doesn't. Interesting January 5 2008, the day Alfred Gray said he would sue the punch for reporting that he was "caught naked in a church parking lot with a woman not his wife".
Also interesting, I expected a report about a deportation, but the article detailed a protest against his presence here because at that time he'd already been deported for working illegally.

with all the immigration reforms going in the Bahamas I'm surprised to hear this man Rufe is getting away with so much in freeport. Lots of people angry at him and his wife who works also. my pop always says to look for $$ canadian wife handles books. he thinks he's above the law. God will judge in d end.

Why is he getting so much attention? Many illegals getting caught,.......I think it's because He seems to have a "Special Treatment " and people from Freeport do not want to see him any more. He got arrested twice for working illegally , and it will be his second time in Court . There is 7,564 Views on the video !! Factssplease , you are right ! His wife Sandra is "cooking" the Books !!!! We saw her moving computer and books from the front desk to her apartment .

Lots of people afraid of him and his buddys , both the tourists and Bahamian have been scared. With him caught red handed they have a chance to get him booted off where he belong! Yea his wife cooks books also some other real estate business. They made a petition anyone can sign. Freeport people mostly afraid.

Yes, factssplease, Sandra Rufa is an accountant , she is selling CB units from Canada and Bruno Rufa sign the Approvals......Terry Gappe sign the Deeds ...... with Donato 's blessing.......Good business !!..... (and was renting units to students from Ross University !! , well this one is gone now )
