THE husband of a woman killed in Exuma was remanded to prison yesterday after being arraigned in connection with her murder.

Vilcourt Vincent, 37, of George Town, Exuma, stood before Magistrate Andrew Forbes accused of intentionally, and by means of unlawful harm, causing the death of Latoria Deveaux-Vincent on February 1.

Deveaux-Vincent, a mother of three and manageress at the Four Seasons Resort on the island, was found dead in her George Town villa hours after a reported argument between her and her husband.

Her husband, in court yesterday, was not required to enter a plea to the charge due to the nature of the offence. He was further informed that at his next Magistrate’s Court appearance, his case would be fast-tracked to the Supreme Court on April 1.

He was remanded to the Department of Corrections but told of his right to apply for bail to the Supreme Court. Vincent has retained the recently appointed Queen Counsel, Elliot Lockhart, to defend him.
