WITH the New Providence Women’s Basketball Association on a week’s break and the prestigious Hugh Campbell Basketball Classic being played at the AF Adderley Gymnasium, the New Providence Basketball Association will move its games this week to the DW Davis Gymnasium.

NPCA SEASON

OPENING

THE New Providence Cycling Association has announced that its 2015 season will get started this weekend. On Saturday, a 15-mile time trials will start at 7:15am from Baha Mar Boulevard and travel to Old Fort Bay round-a-bout and back at one minute intervals.

On Sunday, a 25-mile road race will begin at 7:30am from the Oasis Restaurant, one mile from the Coral Harbour round-a-bout. The race will travel onto Clifton Pier, Lyford Cay, onto the JFK Drive, left onto Baha Mar Boulevard, finishing up at Goodman’s Bay.

Registration for both events is 30 minutes before the start. For both events the entrance fee is $15 for adults and $10 juniors and ladies. “We are looking forward to your participation,” said association president Barron ‘Turbo’ Musgrove.
