Search for suspects after spate of armed robberies

POLICE are looking for the suspects behind five separate armed robberies over the weekend.

Between Saturday night and Sunday morning, two nightclub patrons reported that gunmen stole their cars.

The first incident occurred shortly after 11pm on Saturday, when a man was about to enter his vehicle after leaving a nightclub on Gladstone Road.

Police reports said a male gunman approached the victim and robbed him of cash and his grey Kia Rio vehicle before speeding off.

In the second incident, shortly after 1am on Sunday, a man was about to get into his vehicle after leaving a club in Montel Heights, when four men armed with a handgun robbed him of cash and a white flatbed truck before speeding off.

Police also reported that around 1am on Saturday, a man was robbed when he was leaving a club on Marigold Farm Road. According to police reports, the man was about to get into his car when two men armed with handguns robbed him of two gold chains and a set of keys before fleeing on foot.

Police also reported two armed robberies on Friday.

Around 10pm Friday, two women were walking in the area of Arawak Cay when a man in a green Honda, armed with a handgun, robbed them of cell phones before speeding off.

And around 1pm Friday, two men were robbed of cash and two cell phones as they were sitting in a car parked outside of a business on East West Highway. Police said a man armed with a handgun approached the two and robbed them before running away.

Investigations are continuing.
