Lady Wildcats rout Lady Truckers, 13-5

THE Sunshine Auto Lady Wildcats routed the Johnson Lady Truckers 13-5 in the lone game played in the New Providence Softball Association in the Banker’s Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex on Saturday night.

The men’s feature game was rained out.

Mary ‘Cruise’ Sweeting was the winning pitcher and Ruthann Simms got tagged with the loss.

Sweeting led the Wildcats’ offensive attack by going 3-for-4 with five RBI and a run scored, Renee ‘Sunshine’ Davis was 2-for-4 with a RBI and two runs scored, Maryann Ferguson was 1-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored and Dornette Edwards was 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored.

Simms led the Lady Truckers with a 2-for-3 day with a RBI and a run scored and Juaqana Ferguson was 1-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored.

The NPSA is scheduled to be back in action with double headers on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, starting at 7pm.
