Police identify Fox Hill murder victim

THE COUNTRY’S latest murder victim, who was shot and killed on Sunday night in Fox Hill, has been identified as Alfred Delancey aka “Donkey”.

According to reports, around 9pm, Delancey was attending a party at Edgecombe Terrace when a man armed with a handgun approached and fired several shots at him before fleeing on foot.

Delancey received multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He later died of his injuries.

He became the country’s 86th murder victim in 2015, according to The Tribune’s records.

Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

Police are asking for public help in locating five men responsible for two overnight robberies.

In the first incident, shortly after 11pm on Sunday, a man and a woman were on George Street, when three young males, armed with knives, robbed them of a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

In the second incident, shortly before 1am yesterday, a man was getting out of his 2000 silver coloured Honda Accord in front of his home at Johnstone Avenue, Stapleton Gardens, when two males armed with a shotgun robbed him of his vehicle and sped off.

Investigations continue.
