POLICE in Grand Bahama and Abaco are investigating the deaths of two crew members on separate cruise ships that were in Bahamian waters.

They have disclosed few specifics, including the ship names, saying only that they are “actively investigating these incidents to determine the exact cause of death”.

According to a statement from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, a male Caucasian crew member was found dead on Sunday morning aboard a cruise ship anchored off Castaway Cay, a private island near Great Abaco that serves as an exclusive port for Disney Cruise Line vessels.

Police said the lifeless body of a female crew member was found aboard another cruise line’s vessel early yesterday as it passed through Bahamian waters.
