I can’t believe the arrogant conceit of our Foreign Affairs Minister. Did Fred Mitchell really say the PLP “deserves another term in government” because its members have “better ideas” than those of the FNM?
I thought we were scraping the bottom of the barrel with the PLP, don’t tell me that Fred really thinks he belongs to the party of the brightest. I always thought there was something wrong with him. Now I know there is — the man is not only conceited, he’s delusional.
Don’t get me wrong, because I disagree with Fred about the lack of brilliance in the PLP, does not mean that I think there is any more brilliance in the FNM. However, I don’t think there is anyone in the FNM who is so filled with such laughable conceit that they would make such a stupid statement about themselves — but leave it to Fred’s bunch who, in my humble opinion, don’t have two muscles of brain matter to rub together!
According to Fred, he did not “enjoy his time in opposition”. I guess not. When in opposition would one get to joy ride around the world at taxpayers expense? He said he went out looking for investments for The Bahamas. All I remember him bringing back were bags of fertiliser as a gift from Morocco, which in turn was not gifted, but sold to Bahamians. It would be interesting to know what was spent on these trips, and what the Bahamas received in return. I suggest the Public Accounts Committee check on this — or do those receipts also have to be laid on the table of the House before Bahamians can have a peek? Don’t forget it is their own tax dollars that they want to peek at!
Fred says he does not plan to return to parliament’s backbenches. Am I glad to hear that. May I suggest that on these whirlwind tours he picks a spot to retire among people who might he happy to share in his delusion.
If what we have now is The Bahamas’ brightest, then
God spare us a pretty bleak future.
2017 can’t come soon enough to get a second chance to find our senses and vote ourselves out of this colossal mountain of incompetence.

No one is as bad as the PLP. No one can be as bad as the PLP. I couldn't be this incompetent if I tried.....
Tired of this they're all the same bull. No one is as bad as the PLP.
FNM may not be perfect but the country runs smoother with them at the helm. FNM did not have a scandal a week. FNM does not FAIL at every single thing they do.
They are not the same. PLP and DNA may be the same but sure as hell not PLP and the FNM....
