A 61-year-old man of Hanna Hill, Eight Mile Rock, has died from injuries suffered in a traffic accident on Warren Levarity Highway on Saturday, Grand Bahama Police are reporting.
The man, a passenger in a 2005 Chevy Malibu, died in the Rand Memorial Hospital, Freeport, around 1am on Sunday.
Police report that the incident occurred shortly before 1pm on Saturday and involved a 2004 Dodge Neon and the Chevy Malibu. Both vehicles were travelling on Warren Levarity Highway when the accident occurred. The male passenger of the Chevy Malibu was extricated by the "Jaws of Life” and taken to hospital in critical condition.
All other passengers and the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital and later discharged.
