A 20-year-old Freeport man and a 17-year-old boy were charged with several counts of armed robbery in the Freeport Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Trevor Noah Rolle, a resident of No 39 Clarke Avenue, and the minor were arraigned on seven counts of armed robbery.

The accused appeared before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson.

Rolle was charged in court three with four counts of armed robbery that took place between January 21 and February 20.

The juvenile was charged with being an accomplice to the armed robbery.

In court one, Rolle was charged with three counts of armed robbery, and the juvenile was charged with Rolle in two of the three counts. It is alleged that the incidents occurred between February 5 and 27, 2015.

They were not required to enter a plea to the charges, which are indictable offences. The matters were adjourned June 9 and 10 when a preliminary inquiry will be held.

The pair was also arraigned in court two before Magistrate Charlton Smith.

In that matter, Rolle and the juvenile are charged with stealing. It is alleged that the incident occurred on February 26. They both pleaded not guilty and elected to have their case heard in the Magistrate’s Court.

Bail was denied and they were remanded to the Department of Correctional Services in New Providence until May 12.
