Murder suspect among latest arrests

POLICE arrested 17 persons on Monday, including one man for murder and others who were wanted for questioning in connection with serious offences such as possession of dangerous drugs and housebreaking.

The first police operation was held under the command of Chief Superintendent Ashton Greenslade.

Police said they seized a handgun and arrested six persons, including a man wanted for murder.

Later on Monday, officers from the southwestern division targeted persons wanted for various crimes. This operation netted 11 arrests, including people suspected of housebreaking, causing damage and making threats of death.

This operation was carried out under the command of Superintendent Matthew Edgecombe.
