It is 11.15pm on Wednesday night and I have just been awakened to what sounds like demented baboons and parrots screaming at each other.
In fact, it is “music” blasting from the newly opened Island Boys Sports Lounge at the bottom of Village Rd in the old Montagu Motors premises, next to Branville McCartney’s law firm.
A whole neighbourhood of families is being kept away, unable to find peace in the sanctity of their own homes because of the inconsiderate few.
I find it difficult to believe that these people were given a licence to what amounts to a nightclub in a residential area and I call on the Licensing Authority to put an immediate close to this facility.
