Fox Hill police station

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I recently called on the Fox Hill Police to help me with a life threatening psychiatric issue at home.

I would like to commend Officer Bethel 1590 and Officer Roberts 438 for their professionalism, compassion, understanding and support. They made me proud to be Bahamian, and I respect the difficulty of their jobs. Thank you both so very much. Commissioner Greenslade please take note.

Unfortunately their boss Officer Moss was present at the time.

While begging for Police help, Moss referred to me as “the expat lady”, (my family is Bahamian for 366 years), and he asked me where my husband was! (Good question but inappropriate at the time). Was I an “expat” because I am a white lady?

I expect more from a leader in the police force in 2015 in the Bahamas.
