• Hymns for Him

Throughout the ages, the great hyms of the church have been a source of encouragement, expression, inspiration and testimony to Christians’ faith all over the world. These hymns have formed the foundation for worship in every sect of Christendom.

Pastor Trent Elliott Davis of Golden Gates World Outreach Ministries invites the people of God to come together in communal worship this Sunday.

Last year, the event was hosted at a time of great distress and uncertainty when the country received the devastating news of a plane crash which claimed the life of Dr Myles Munroe and either others.

This year, the event will commemorate the life, sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Once again Pastor Trent will temporarily step down from the his preaching pulpit and use his gift of music – playing the organ and piano – to offer hope and healing.

In his usual ecumenical style, he will be accompanied by some of the counties’ leading musicians, including Minister of Music, Junior “MinisterKeyz” Scott & Band, Lakwan “The Hymnologist” Bain and others. Last year’s concert featured leading female vocalists and ministers. This year, primarily men will lead in ministry of song, while their female counterparts will lead in congregational hymns. Special guests artists this year include the Tabernacle Concert Choir (COGOP), Johnathan Farrington, Minister George McCartney, The Curry Sisters, Sammi Starr, Jerrard Rigby, Clement Penn, Pastor Dwight Armbrister and the Fine Arts Ministry of Golden Gates, as well as Shaback.

The event starts 6.30pm at Golden Gates World Outreach Ministries, Carmichael Road.
