A MAN must wait a little longer before he learns what sentence a judge will impose on him in connection with a murder outside of a nightclub in Abaco.

Nevin Curry, of Coopers Town, was to be sentenced before Justice Carolita Bethell yesterday concerning the February 26, 2012 shooting of Stanley McIntosh III.

However, the stenographer experienced technical difficulties with her computer and was unable to find a functioning replacement for the proceedings.

As a result, Justice Bethell adjourned the matter to Friday, May 8.

The fatal incident occurred at a Junkanoo after-party at Solid Gold nightclub.

Witnesses met up with McIntosh at the club following Junkanoo.

Upon leaving the club, witnesses saw McIntosh and another man bump into each other, which resulted in an exchange of words that escalated into a fight.

McIntosh was shot after two men, intervening on his behalf, pulled the men he was fighting with off him.

The witnesses in the case claimed that Curry was the one who shot McIntosh.

Curry maintained that he was not responsible for the murder, but a jury found him guilty of the offence.
