Prince Charles businesses raided

POLICE are investigating two separate armed robberies at businesses on Prince Charles Drive yesterday afternoon.

In the first incident, shortly after 12.30pm, police received a report that a store located on Prince Charles Drive was held up and robbed of cash by a man armed with a knife.

Officers from the Eastern Division, after being notified of the report, arrested a 19-year-old male of Sandilands Village Road.

Later, just after 4pm, a gunman entered the Winton Super Value foodstore on Prince Charles Drive. The armed man robbed several employees of their handbags, which had small amounts of cash and a cell phone.

The suspect left the store on foot and was joined by a male accomplice who stood on the outside, police said.

Investigations are ongoing.
