Bahamians love to party

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Even a deaf and blind person if they knew The Bahamas would have understood that the Carnival would be an enormous success – hey Bahamians love to party.

Originality? on a scale of 1-10, one being the best, zero...... there are hundreds of festivals all over the globe.

An image of True Bahamian culture? 1 being high maybe a six. I think Edmund Moxey and Winston Saunders were cringing in their respective graves over these past days. I think the Ministry of Culture is required to ensure continuation and the preservation of culture has conceived something totally alien and now will rewrite history as we so like.

Success? Certainly, but the reality is there was little “new foreign earnings” at least this time around... moving old B$’s from the left of the table to the right does not do too much good. 2016 you need no less than 8,000 visitors staying at the hotels.

The Arts and Crafts vendors? Hard for them as really us who live here are disinterested in buying their products. This area will come if the committee use their senses and get visitors to the festival site during daylight hours and hype the availability of indigenous handicrafts.

For sure on the 3rd anniversary of the 2012 election we saw that when he wishes, Mr Christie can make a decision, apply funding, but how many were without BEC supply Thursday - Friday - Saturday that decision so far took two plus years?
