BSF elects NEW officers at annual general meeting

THE Bahamas Softball Federation held its annual general meeting and election of officers on Saturday in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture conference room, Thompson Boulevard. The new officers were elected to serve for the period from 2015-2018.

Elected as the new president, replacing Burkett Dorsett - he did not seek another term in office - was Ted Miller.

He will be joined by the following executive team:

1st Vice president -

Jenny Dotson

2nd Vice President -

Michael Colebrooke

3rd Vice President -

Haziel McDonald

4th Vice President -

Paula Johnson

5th Vice President -

Jamal Greene

Returning as secretary general was Daphne McKinney, who will be assisted by Arthur “AJ” Johnson.

Also returning as the treasurer was Jeffrey Beef’ Henfield, assisted by Romell “Fish” Knowles. All of the officers were elected unopposed.

The federation saluted Dotson as its first female 1st Vice President and it also expressed its gratitude to immediate past president Burkett Dorsett and treasurer Ali Culmer, who served with distinction for 36-plus years.
