POLICE are searching for several suspects who are behind six armed robberies that took place between Friday and Monday.
In the first incident, which occurred shortly after noon on Friday, police said a man armed with a handgun robbed a convenience store on East Street and Victoria Boulevard of a small quantity of clothing before fleeing on foot.
A few hours later, shortly after 3pm, a woman was walking on Rosetta Street when a man armed with a handgun robbed her of her handbag containing cash and personal effects. The thief fled on foot, police said.
The third robbery occurred shortly before 11pm on Friday, police said. According to reports, a man was sitting in his green coloured 1996 Honda CRV vehicle in front of his home located at Highbury Park, when three men armed with a handgun robbed him of his vehicle and sped off.
Then, shortly after 2am on Saturday, police reported that a man was sitting in his grey coloured Ford Mustang vehicle in front of his home located at Highbury Park, when two men armed with a handgun robbed him of cash, a cell phone and sped off in his vehicle.
Police are also investigating two other armed robberies and car thefts.
The first report came shortly before 11pm on Sunday.
Police were told that a man and a woman were sitting in their dark grey 2003 Acura vehicle, licence number 300411, in front of a home located at Little Hyde Park off Sea Breeze Lane, when a man armed with a handgun robbed them of a cell phone and sped off in their vehicle.
Then, shortly after 1am on Monday, a man was sitting in his grey-black 2003 Altezza vehicle in front of a home located in Kennedy Subdivision, when two men armed with a handgun robbed him of his vehicle and sped off.
