Two men in hospital after being shot during ‘road rage’ attack

TWO men are recovering in hospital after they were shot during a “road rage” incident on Monday night.

The shooting took place around 10pm, police said.

According to reports, two men were involved in an argument with the male driver of a red Ford F150 truck in the parking lot of a nightclub on East Bay Street following a minor traffic accident.

The argument resulted in the driver of the truck firing several shots at them with a handgun before speeding off.

One of the men was shot in the leg and the other in the stomach, police said. The victims were taken to hospital where one man is listed as stable and the other is in serious, but stable condition.

Investigations continue.

In other crime news, three men are in police custody after they beat and robbed a man in Andros on Saturday.

According to reports, around 2.30am a man was walking in the Staniard Creek area when he was approached by four men armed with a firearm, who beat him about the body and robbed him of his cell phone before speeding off in a truck.

Later that morning, around 4am, police in Andros arrested three of the suspects in connection with this incident.

Investigations continue.
