FNMs for Minnis

EDITOR, The Tribune.

On Monday, May 18, The Nassau Guardian’s  “National Review” termed it a Critical Point and in the view of former FNM Deputy Frank Watson, the FNM was not ready for a general election. This is the only utterance of Watson that could be termed as a fact.

Secondly, and this was his second time stating that leadership should step up and perform in a way which touches people and gets Bahamians excited. This is the part that needs to be addressed.

Frank Watson is listed among the officers of the Free National Movement as:

A Meritorious Council Member, and one of only eight on the leadership committee.

As a MCM and one of the supreme Leaders of the party, we in the FNM look up to him and the other seven for guidelines regarding leadership issues.

What we get from Frank Watson is severe critical remarks “In The Press”.

What we get from the other seven  is deafening silence.

What we in the FNM needs and want from the whole leadership (excepting Dr Minnis) is exactly what are their views concerning leadership and the way forward.

Problems are made to be solved, anything broken can be fixed. The rank and file of the  Free National Movement has decided to sink or swim with Doctor Minnis as leader. Should the other seniors have a problem with that scenario they should express their views at our monthly meeting on Thursday, May 28.

Back to matters at hand, any reporter pushing a mike in front of any FNM, should be asked to speak or write on the many missteps of the PLP, personally, we in the FNM thought our internal problems were solved last November. However, it is sad that lessons given in 2012 were not learned, and, instead of losing an election this time those demons will try to cause us to lose a party.

However, there are too many decent dedicated FNMs in this county to allow a few who have lost their way to steer us into oblivion.
