A CONFERENCE hosted by the Calvary Deliverance Church seeks to give believers a deeper understanding about the power of prayer.

Some believers, according to conference organisers, have forgotten about the power that lies in constant communication with God and they are hoping all of that changes after this event.

The Prayer Conference 2015 will be held at the church from June 1-2 beginning 7pm.

Speakers for the event will be Apostle Gail McKinney and conference host Elder Lena Pratt. They believe that a transformation will take place in the lives of those who attend. “Matthew 7:7 states: ‘Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Your life would never be the same. As God is still doing a new thing’.”

A representative from the church said: “With the conference we are going to be praying constantly for God’s presence to be among us. We know that praise is the tool that changes things. We know that prayer is the only thing that can really solve the problems that we face in our country. We cannot look to no government agency or no law enforcement agency to do that for us.”

The representative said Christians must come together in worship and believe that God will make changes that are needed in their lives.

“We have to come together. We need to be taught about prayer and the value of prayer, so we could see the turn around. The Bible says that the only way we can conquer is by drawing near to God and seeking his help for the things that we need.

“Persons can be encouraged and drawn when one or two of us gets together, so that we can see change in our society. The speakers will definitely teach us and give us a more deeper understanding about prayer. After coming out of the prayer conference we will not only be able to talk with God, but communicate, sit, and also listen,” the representative said.

During the two nights, Calvary Deliverance invites people to join them as they encourage people to adopt a vibrant and consistent prayer life.

“We trust Him to take charge of us because He is the Head of the Church. We are completely willing for Him to change each one of us as He sees fit. We agree to trust Him to bring us all into harmony with His Father and thus into heaven’s harmony with one another.”
