THE 2015-16 Junkanoo season was launched on Thursday by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture in conjunction with the National Junkanoo Committee at the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas.
A calendar of dates for the Junkanoo parades and events, such as the Junkanoo Legends Awards set for December 15, Junior Junkanoo on December 12, and Junior Junkanoo on various Family Islands was announced.
A new poster competition was also introduced for school-aged children, entries for which open today with details announced in newspapers and online.
