Stop stories of corruption

EDITOR, The Tribune

It is past time that all of the chatter in the media and on street corners about political corruption, outright theft, and back-handers must stop.

It is having a very negative influence on the Public Service workers who now feel that helping themselves to the public purse is quite alright to do.

Urban Renewal 2.0 paying for no work or sub-standard work. Post Office Savings Bank unsolved missing funds. $25,000 missing from Freeport Passport Office, $660,000 missing at Road Traffic in Abaco - and I hear this is the second year in a row.

The Public Treasury is like a leaky boat now. The Auditor General can’t possibly keep up with the copycat thieves in the Public Service.

Stories of government corruption have got to stop before the country is bankrupted by the thieving in the Civil Service.
