As reported in The Tribune November 10th “As Veterans Remembered, One Is Left In Rundown Home”.
The daughter of 90-year-old veteran Ivan Simeon Rolle has appealed to their MP Perry Christie for assistance but has been ignored by both him and Urban Renewal officials despite one of their contractors’ failure to complete the repairs to their home. This is another glaring example of the waste and mismanagement of public funds and the lack of accountability that still prevails at Urban Renewal despite the ongoing, but ineffectual investigation by the PAC.
Perry Christie obviously has no interest in this poor family’s plight as clearly evidenced from his failure to lift his many constituents from the abject poverty and squalor they continue live in after more than forty years of his representation; but boy he could dance good, eh!
Perhaps this poor woman will receive more consideration from the Benevolent Algernon Allen and the Compassionate Cynthia Pratt, it is said that they also believe in Bahamians.
Shameful!!!
