Excessive charges

EDITOR, The Tribune.

In reviewing my credit card statement, FCIB charged its annual fee of $60 and on top of that, there is VAT of $4.50. This, in my opinion, is highway robbery and at the end of the day it’s the customer/consumer who is always sacked with these taxes.

It is downright thievery that banks are charging these astronomical monthly/annual fees and then VAT is added.

Instead of the Prime Minister suggesting and wanting to implement laws for those persons who so desire to cross the floor, he should stop, review and cancel the way banks are gouging its customers with regards to everyday fees.

These financial institutions fall under his portfolio - the Ministry of Finance. After all, you did promise me help and hope eh!
