Police questioning man over Eight Mile Rock murder

A MAN is in custody assisting police with their investigation into Grand Bahama’s latest homicide that occurred in Eight Mile Rock on Friday.

ASP Alvardo Dames said that a male resident of Eight Mile Rock was taken into custody for questioning into the stabbing death of a 42-year-old man at Andros Town.

According to reports, the incident happened around 7.22pm on Friday following a heated argument between two men. One of the men pulled out an object and stabbed the other.

The victim was taken by EMS personnel to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

This incident pushed the homicide count to 16 for the year in Grand Bahama. The country has recorded 133 murders so far this year.
