Quarter-miler Shaunae Miller, named the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture’s Athlete of the Year over the weekend, has branched out to interact with the general public a little more. Her images are placed in her first calendar produced by Ontrack Management Inc for the year 2016.

Ontrack Management Inc, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is now the management agents, not only for Miller, but also quarter-miler Steven Gardiner, who was named by the Ministry as the Rising Star of the Year, and long jumper Raymond Higgs, who is hoping to revive his post-collegiate career.

OTM, headed by the husband and wife team of Claude and Juanita Bryan, have a core of athletes from the Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, the United States of America and Nigeria.

Juanita Bryan, who serves as the vice president of client relations, said they are delighted to produce the calendar for Miller. She along with Jamaican sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown are the only two athletes who have a calendar of their own.

“We did the calendar to help her build her brand and to bring awareness to a charity that is close to her heart, ‘Autism Speaks,’” said Bryan of the reigning IAAF World Championship silver medallist.

“The calendar is on sale for $34.99 and a portion of that will go to Autism Speaks Georgia Chapter.

“Autism Speaks offers awareness, educational resources for the Autism community in Georgia and they are advocates for individuals and families that suffer from the disease.”

The calendar, according to Bryan, will feature 12 high-resolution, never-before-seen photos of Miller.

While home over the weekend, Miller said she was extremely excited about her new venture.

“We’ve been experimenting, trying to do some new things and so we decided to go with the calendar,” Miller said. “A portion of the funds will go to the Autism Speaks Georgia Chapter, so I’m really pleased to be able to give back to the community in this manner.”

Miller, 21, said she was delighted with the final product, which she feels the Bahamian community would love to support by purchasing one.

“I like it. It’s a lot of fun. Hopefully it will catch on and we can do it again next year,” she said.
