THE HIGHLY anticipated concert featuring Beres Hammond and Tarrus Riley this weekend has been re-scheduled for Saturday, October 17.

Promoters yesterday were forced to push the concert’s date back after Hammond’s Caribbean Airlines flight to the Bahamas was cancelled due to Hurricane Joaquin. He was expected to arrive in the country today but is stranded in Jamaica.

Fresh Entertainment, in conjunction with 100 Jamz and Another Level Entertainment, announced last night that they will now present Hammond live in concert in two weeks at the National Stadium Courtyard, Nassau.

“I think the weather for Saturday would have been good, but Caribbean Airlines has cancelled their flights until Sunday,” Crispen Cleare of Fresh Entertainment said. “So we would not be able to get the artist or his band here. So based on that we postponed the show. Tarrus Riley and his band is here, but Mr Hammond is not.”

The concert will also feature performances by The Illest and Tingum Dem.

Regarding ghe new date, Mr Cleare said: “We did not want to host the concert next weekend because next weekend is Harbour Island regatta and we do not want to take away from the economic that event can have on that island. Both artists are available on October 17 so that was the best time. All ticket holders will be honoured because the show must go on,” he said.

Listeners to 100 Jamz and Kiss 96 have the chance to win tickets to the concert.
