How a bite to eat has helped out BAARK

A SERIES of successful “Luxe Belvedere Saturday Nights” events hosted this summer by Olives Meze Gill, Cable Beach, has proved beneficial for BAARK Bahamas.

As a result of the public support for the events, Reto Giovanoli, Operations Manager at Olives, said they had decided to donate part of the proceeds to BAARK Bahamas, “a truly amazing charity that takes care of country’s animals”. Olives presented a cheque for $1,200 to Sarah Kennedy, Vice President and Events Director of BAARK.

Olives partnered with beverage distributor, Burns House, for the Saturday Nights series during June. Guest DJs performed for the crowd and free flaming shots were given out amidst a backdrop of lounge and international beats. Belvedere, a luxury vodka brand distributed by the Burns House Group, was mixed expertly to create six fresh and cool, specialty signature cocktails for the event.

Olives, on West Bay Street, is a European fusion restaurant, the only establishment in Nassau with a resident DJ every night.
