POLICE have officially identified the country’s latest homicide victims who were shot and killed on Saturday in separate incidents.
The victims are Kirkland Jamal Moxey, 32, of Kemp Road and Alvardo Guy Derilus, 35, of Sunshine Park.
According to police, Moxey was killed around 7.30pm Saturday after he left a bar located on Kemp Road and was shot by another man carrying a handgun. The suspect then fled on foot.
In the second incident, shortly after 9pm, Derilus was at Sunshine Park when he got into an argument with two men, resulting in him being shot.
The victim was taken to hospital where he died of his injures.
Their deaths brought the year’s murder count to 121 for the year, two shy of last year’s record.
