Church of God women unite for conference and retreat

Under the theme “Walking Through Upon Doors”, taken from Revelation 3:8, the Church of God National Women’s Discipleship recently held their annual national conference and retreat.

The four-day event, which commenced on October 14, was held at the COG Convention Centre and at the Meliá Nassau Beach Resort.

Persons travelled both from within the Caribbean and outside of the region to attend this event. The conference and retreat hosted hundreds of women, as well as a few men.

The first two days of the event took place in the Meliá’s banquet hall, which was packed to capacity. Those in attendance engaged in singing and rejoicing.

On the first night, the COG National Girl’s Ministry was in charge. Conference speakers included Sister Tiffany Johnson; Sister Laurel Bulter, who spoke on “Widowhood”; Sister Stephanie Sweeting, who spoke on “What’s next after Separation”; Rev Rachael Mackey, who spoke on “Called to Singleness”; Sister Joelyn Stubbs, who spoke on “Single and Waiting”, international evangelist Joycelyn Barnett, and Administrative Bishop Moses A Johnson, who spoke on “The Marriage Covenant”.

The National Women’s Discipleship president is Minister Cynthia Johnson.
