Two killed in shootings hours apart

TWO men were killed in two separate shootings on Wednesday, which occurred less than 12 hours apart.

Shortly before 3am, police were called to the scene of a fatal shooting on Augusta Street just off Poinciana Drive.

A few hours later, around 11.30am, police were called to another fatal shooting, this one on Tonique Williams Darling Highway.

Police said two brothers were accosted by a gunman outside their house in Yellow Elder. One victim ran away from his attacker onto Tonique Williams Darling Highway where he collapsed.

Police said the gunman ran behind the escaping victim and fatally shot him on the highway.

The other brother was taken to hospital, police said.

These latest shootings pushed the country’s murder count to 124, surpassing 2014’s total murder count of 123 killings.

"We shouldn't be making crime a political issue " the PLP now claims! Well we all knew that in 2012 but it didn't stop them erecting those ridiculous billboards. So should we now put up a new billboard with the new record? Bunch of hypocrites!

I say these execution style killings should evoke the death penalty. Fast track the case to the courts and hang the pepertrators.else there will be no one left standing. How long can this small country withstand wholesale assisinations?
