Cycling event Ride for Hope 10, scheduled for February 14, 2016, has been postponed.
In a statement, the organisers said the decision came after “recognising the extensive destruction caused by Hurricane Joaquin, and in deference to the intensive national efforts underway to help our Family Island brothers and sisters rebuild".
Ride for Hope Bahamas also announced they will donate $10,000 towards the repair and restocking of clinics on the most impacted islands.
A new date for the event will be announced in due course.
