Garbage galore

EDITOR, The Tribune.

This conflict issue and who owns what? Surely there is a simple remedy seeing that we signed-off on FACTA and we tell the Americans even our bed secrets. We amend the Company’s Act and require no more “nominee shareholders” and that all directors have to be shown on their corporate stationary.

Then everyone will know who owns what and who is what. Issue resolved. End of the stupid questioning as to conflict.

Garbage, garbage everywhere – simple solution. If the Ministry of Work refuses to provide the basic bins for the garbage, then you rely on the people to take the garbage home (only a miracle will result in that). Why can’t we go to the beach and realise, if we take the garbage you create home, the beach will be clean for the next people wanting to use the beach. As hell will freeze over waiting for the most inefficient Government Ministry - Public Works and Urban Development to do anything.

As with garbage billboards everywhere and who is the cause? The Ministry of Public Works and Urban Development. Who cares if the billboard blocks the view of traffic – who cares that the billboard having been up over a year is weather-beaten, some of them broken down? Certainly not Public Works. On almost every roundabout the safety signs have been hit and left either down on the ground or one side up and other down – are the Ministers totally blind?

As Ed Fields commented recently – as a tourist destination we had better excel and I am sure not in making things so ugly and disgusting.

Bay Street was once a “royale street” look at it now – pass East Street heading east and just look at what you see? Ugliness personified.

I have to ask! Did the design of the new Pointe development, pass the Special Architectural Committee of Town Planning...just curious as the design certainly clashes with the design of the historic British Colonial, but who cares. Does this Committee still operate?

I think Christie's sons are in charge of town planning as well. They certainly have the skill set.

I saw a young boy, 10-11 or so throw his foam container in the bush. When I asked him to pick it up and throw it in a garbage as the bush is not the dump, I was told to "F" off and shut my mouth before him and he boys "F" me up. This country has more problems than I care to count. Nasty Nassau is correct.
