POLICE in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic accident in Freeport that has left one man dead and another in hospital with serious injuries.
On Saturday, shortly after 2am, police report that a traffic accident occurred on Sergeant Major Road, south of Indian Man Road, where a grey 2006 Chevy Cobalt with two male occupants collided with a utility pole.
Both passengers had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency personnel using the 'Jaws of Life'. The driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries at the scene and the passenger is said to be in serious condition condition.
