POLICE investigations are still underway into two recent murder cases on Grand Bahama, Police Chief Emrick Seymour said yesterday in Grand Bahama.

Mr Seymour reported that police are following several leads into the shooting death of Lester Adderley Jr, who was discovered gunned down outside an upscale residential apartment complex near Xanadu Beach on August 22. He was the owner of several businesses in Freeport.

Police received reports of gunshots being fired around 10pm at Blue Marina Cove Apartments on Sunken Treasure Drive, where they discovered Adderley’s body in the parking lot. His murder was the tenth this year on Grand Bahama.

Mr Seymour said that police are also investigating the murder of Keith “Fat Head” Russell, who is still missing. Russell, a resident of Coral Reef Estates, was reported missing by relatives on August 11 and has not been seen since.

“Although two persons have been charged before the courts, we are still conducting investigations into that matter,” he said.
