VOLUNTEERS came out in the early hours of Saturday to spruce up Goodman’s Bay beach.
The volunteers - which included Chavar Rolle, Dawn Demeritte, Nikita Shiel-Rolle from Young Marine Explores, Anne Marie Sampson, Michael Cooper, Mary Ellen Ferguson, Quinton Lightbourne, Cindy Albury, Randy Wolf Albury and Denez Jones - picked litter, raked for rubbish and aimed to tidy the beach and area.
Companies sponsoring the event included Bahamas Waste, Caribbean Bottling Company and Gone Fishing. Other organisations involved were Joystick, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and Wolfs Kayaking Club.
The next beach clean-up will be this Saturday at 7.30am on Yamacraw Beach at the Stokes Cabana.
