Concessions to Baha Mar...How on earth can they only be $300m? The project value is $3,250,000. Duty on building materials is =25% + Stamp tax...Some are duty free. Labour probably the majority, Chinese were paid minimum wage - $150 per week.
Do the maths...It has to be very close to $1 billion in value, unless we use the sub-standard maths of the school system!
What has the total of work carried out by Bahamian contractors got to do with the fact that Baha Mar Limited booked itself into Chapter 11? Nothing more than spin. Doesn’t Sir Baltron Bethel know? Someone ask him please.
