Arrest after man injured in alleged machete attack

A 22-year-old Grand Bahama man was arrested after he allegedly attacked another man with a machete on Saturday.

Shortly before 11am, police received information of an argument in the Lewis Yard area.

When they arrived they found a man who had sustained serious bodily injuries.

He reported to officers that he had been in a fight with another man who had attacked him with machete.

The victim was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where his injuries were described as serious by a doctor.

Police arrested a male resident of Andros Drive, Lewis Yard, in connection with causing grievous harm.
