TROPICAL Storm Ida is forecast to move slowly northwards in the mid-Atlantic Ocean on Thursday night, with little strengthening predicted over the next two days.
The US National Hurricane Centre in Miami said on Thursday morning that the storm’s maximum sustained winds are 35mph.
The storm is centred about 1,195 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands and is moving north-northeast at 5mph. The storm currently poses no threat to land.
