THE US National Hurricane Centre said on Friday that Tropical Depression Ida is expected to weaken to a remnant low this weekend.
The depression’s maximum sustained winds were 30mph on Friday morning and it is centred about 1,205 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands moving north at 5mph.
The storm currently poses no threat to land.
